Doodle cafetière cosy

Doodle cafetière cosy

The Doodle cafetière cosy was inspired by doodling spirals. I added a simple border and a corrugated rib. Then I played around with lots of colours, until I was happy with my colour palette.

You could make one for yourself, or as a gift or give the Doodle cafetière cosy kit to a coffee-loving knitter. The kit contains instructions, yarn and a coordinating button to make one Doodle cafetière cosy.

Description

The Doodle cafetière cosy was inspired by doodling spirals. I added a simple border and a corrugated rib. Then I played around with a colour palette using Spindrift from Jamieson’s of Shetland.

The Doodle cafetière cosy features feature stranded colourwork patterns. You knit Doodle in the round from lower rib to upper rib, then cut the steek. Now, cutting your carefully worked knitting may seem terrifying, but really it’s not! Spindrift is a woolly yarn, so doesn’t unravel. And once you finish your steek, the stitches are really secure and neat. You finish Doodle by adding a button and button loop. Then put the kettle on and make some coffee!

You could make one for yourself, as a gift or give the Doodle cafetière cosy kit to a coffee-loving knitter.

The pattern for the Doodle cafetière cosy is available as part of a kit.

Other details

This pattern is available in two versions: there’s one written for those who knit left-handed as well as the standard one for those who knit right-handed.

Most of you knit right-handed, that is, your stitches move from the left-hand to the right-hand needle as you knit: choose “knitting right-handed”.

Some of you knit left-handed, that is, your stitches move from the right-hand to the left-hand needle as you knit: choose “knitting left-handed”.

If you are a left-handed knitter who knits right-handed, that is your stitches move from the left-hand to the right-hand needle, you should choose “knitting right-handed”.
