Description
Star socks are ideal for beginners to sock knitting. These socks are knitted seamlessly from the top down. You start with a ribbed cuff, then relax while working the leg in stocking stitch. Then, you make the heel by knitting a rectangular heel flap and working a few rows to turn the heel. Next, you pick up stitches along the sides of the heel flap, then knit the gusset and the rest of the foot in stocking stitch. Finally, you work a star toe; no grafting is involved, so this toe is really simple.

Most of you knit right-handed, that is, your stitches move from the left to right needle as you knit.
Some of you knit left-handed, that is, your stitches move from the right to left needle as you knit.
If you are a left-handed knitter who knits right-handed, that is your stitches move from the left to right needle, you should use the pattern for knitting right-handed.
